Four huge asteroids — and a fifth that's much smaller — are passing Earth on Thursday in their closest approaches to the planet ever recorded.

In the next few days, five asteroids that range anywhere between a bud to a tall building are expected to fly by Earth. Here's a quick look at all of them.
