Midway through his second year, Deion Sanders has transformed Colorado from a 1-11 joke into a team in contention for the College Football Playoff.

Julian Lewis, the highly touted quarterback recruit ranked No. 2 in the nation for the class of 2025, is set to make his fourth trip to Boulder, Colorado, drawing attention to Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes.

If Sanders can get Lewis to join the Buffaloes, it would be one of the biggest flips he has been involved in since getting two-way star Travis Hunter to recommit from Florida State and instead attend Jackson State.

Thanks largely to an improved defense, Colorado is playing its best under Sanders and closing in on bowl eligibility.

The last time Carrollton (Georgia) five-star quarterback and USC Trojans commit Julian Lewis visited the Colorado Buffaloes, the city of Boulder went all out. There were fans awaiting his arrival, a personalized movie theatre welcome and a burger named after him.
