A Florida jury found Sarah Boone, 47, guilty of leaving boyfriend Jorge Torres Jr., 42, trapped inside a suitcase until he suffocated and died on Feb. 23, 2020.

It was an emotional day for the family of Jorge Torres as they sat in the courtroom feet away from their loved one’s accused killer.

Judge Michael Kraynick said he wanted the jury to begin deliberations on Friday, as soon as closing arguments ended. While court typically ends around 5 p.m., Judge Kraynick said he received permission to allow the jury to deliberate into the evening hours, potentially through 10 p.m. if needed.
