YouTube is bringing its affiliate program to India so creators can tag products in their videos and earn referral money just ahead of the festive season.

YouTube has rolled out its Shopping affiliate program for Indian creators, enabling them to tag and promote products from platforms like Flipkart and Myntra.

YouTube Shopping affiliate programme allows creators to earn by recommending products, across videos, shorts and live streams.

Eligible Indian YouTube creators could earn almost 100 per cent of the commission from the product they purchase. Commission will be calculated based on the total purchase price, excluding delivery fees.

The new offering is part of YouTube’s Shopping affiliate programme that is open for select content creators in the country.
