YouTube is bringing its affiliate program to India so creators can tag products in their videos and earn referral money just ahead of the festive season.

Eligible creators can now register to join the YouTube Shopping affiliate program, enabling them to tag products from brands available on Flipkart and Myntra.

Eligible Indian YouTube creators could earn almost 100 per cent of the commission from the product they purchase. Commission will be calculated based on the total purchase price, excluding delivery fees.

The new offering is part of YouTube’s Shopping affiliate programme that is open for eligible content creators in the country.

This feature adds to YouTube’s already set of monetisation tools, which include ads revenue, YouTube Premium, Brand Connect, and fan-favourite options like Channel Memberships and Super Thanks.
