Just about every Nintendo fan, and their mom, is gearing up for the official reveal of the Nintendo Switch follow-up, and I’m no different. Every stern warning from Nintendo that there ‘will be no mention of the Switch successor’ in its most recent sea of Direct presentations has only made my anticipation grow.

For months rumormongers and industry leakers have tipped the Nintendo Switch 2 for launch in Spring 2025, which would match the release window of the first Nintendo Switch. However, according to a new tip-off, the Switch 2 may now arrive much later than expected.

It’s widely assumed that many new Switch 2 games will be cross-gen, and released on the original Switch as well, with the only real detail – which Nintendo has sort-of, kind-of confirmed – being that the Switch 2 is backwards compatible with its predecessor.

A new Nintendo Switch 2 leak features what the console looks like, what its new dock look likes, and what its stand looks like, the latter of which is a substantial upgrade on the current Switch stand. Unfortunately, like previous Nintendo Switch 2 leaks, this one comes from slightly dubious sources.
