Things started out a bit slow in the first half, but the Iowa Hawkeyes woke up in the second half due to a shot of adrenaline given to them on offense and turned this game into a 40-14 dismantling of the Northwestern Wildcats in all three phases of the game.

Iowa’s first three drives of the game with Sullivan at quarterback were three-and-outs. But the Hawkeyes broke through on the fourth with a five-play, 52-yard touchdown scoring drive. After mostly being bottled up to that point, Johnson broke through for a 26-yard score. Iowa took a 12-7 lead into halftime.

Kaleb Johnson rushed for 109 yards and three touchdowns, and backup quarterback Brendan Sullivan added another rushing touchdown, as Iowa defeated Northwestern 40-14 on Saturday.
